Are your portable appliances safe..?

Landlords have an obligation to ensure any portable appliances supplied in their property are tested and passed as safe for use.

Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) were introduced earlier this year to help improve the energy efficiency of a building.

EPCs are part of a number of measures which are being introduced throughout Europe to reflect legislation aiming to reduce carbon emissions from buildings, thus helping tackle climate change. 

By law, an EPC is now required whenever a property is built, sold or rented out.  As a result, some owners are choosing to make energy efficiency improvements to their property.

Did you know that both tenants and landlords may be eligible for grant aid or interest free loans to ensure their homes are properly heated?
