Are your portable appliances safe..?

Landlords have an obligation to ensure any portable appliances supplied in their property are tested and passed as safe for use.

To help you meet this obligation, Edinburgh City Properties now offer a qualified Portable Appliance Testing service.

Landlords are legally responsible for the safety of their tenants.

By law, landlords are required to have a gas safety check carried out once a year on all gas appliances.

On 1 April 2009, the new Gas Safe Register replaced Corgi gas registration as the official gas safety body.
